About me

Hi, I'm Jo
Having spent nearly 20-years in the pharmaceutical industry, and being conventionally trained, I was exposed to the world of holistic medicine during the two years that I lived in South Africa. I previously suffered from a prolapsed disc in my back, which caused persistent and debilitating stiffness, so I decided to visit a body stress practitioner to see if they could help me. This opened my eyes to the world of treating the body as a whole and the body’s innate ability to heal itself, if given the right conditions. It started an enduring passion for taking responsibility for my own health, learning to treat conditions through diet and lifestyle and it ultimately led to educating myself to make better choices for my health. I decided to retrain in naturopathic nutrition, at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, and qualified as a BANT-registered nutritional therapist/nutritionist. I now run a private practice: seeing clients one-to-one, helping them discover the root cause of their symptoms and providing a bespoke nutrition and lifestyle plan to restore the natural balance of the body. I understand it can be overwhelming to be presented with massive changes but my passion lies in setting people achievable goals, ultimately enabling them to build better habits. My mission is to empower people with knowledge and my fundamental principle is it’s about better choices not perfection! |
